N-TAPO
has three categories of membership:
A. Full membership
B. Affiliate membership
C. Honorary membership.
AFULL LIFE MEMBERS
These are the founders of N-TAPO, plus other persons that
have been and shall continue to be recruited by the organization
as full members and shall pay a membership fee of UG SHS
10,000.
B-AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP
Eligible for affiliate membership are companies, groups,
organizations, associations and institutions, which shall
be partners and beneficiaries of the undertakings but
independent entities from N-TAPO. They shall also pay
a membership fee of US $100.
C- HONORARY MEMBERSHIP
The organization shall in its meetings have powers to
award honorary membership of N-TAPO to individuals, organizations,
institutions, companies or entities both from within Uganda
and other friendly countries that shall have made special
contribution towards the progress of the Organization
Such members shall neither pay membership nor any other
official fees and shall enjoy such privileges as may be
conferred by the Board from time to time.
ELIGIBILITY OF MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to all individuals and such groups,
organizations, associations, institutions and etc that
in the opinion of the Board are interested and capable
of advancing the aims and objectives of the N-TAPO.
A taxpayer who contributes US $10 and $100 as a legal
entity becomes a life member of N-TAPO but continues to
subscribe their bracket membership subscription every
year.
All members get free tax tips on tax rates, VAT leaflets,
invitations to URA tax clinics as value added information
to sharpen their awareness.
Additionally, those who contribute $ 100 and over get
Finance Bill, Annual Budget Speech, Background to the
Budget, Income Tax Act, Local Government Act, Uganda Constitution,
etc.
